Stardust is so much fun! I read the book after watching the movie and I think this is one of those rare cases in which both are very well done. Neal Gaiman takes the concept of a classic fairy tale and makes it completely unique. Who thinks of making stars into living beings? It's brilliant. The book was very light hearted and uplifting. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a little sparkle in their lives.

Spoilers: Rating from 1-5 with 1 being one occurrence and 5 being frequently occurring.
Language- Minimal. Though, there is one case of the dreaded "f-bomb" in the first bit. I would give this a 2.
Sex- There is a love scene in this novel. It is short and not graphic, so it is nothing obscene. 3 out of 5.
Violence- A bit more than you would think for such a happy book. The witches in the story read entrails of beasts and a few people get stabbed in various ways. That makes it sound worse than it is though. This would be a 3.5-ish.
