When I found out about Charlie's past I was so eager to get to her book. I wanted to see how she overcame it, especially with the ever delicious former butt double, Clay! This book didn't disappoint and I loved them together. It was great seeing Charlie make assumptions about Clay that she had to rethink, and then even defend him against others doing the same.

Charlie's mom, Dominique really was a piece of work. She was so hard to like, especially seeing her reaction when Charlie was raped along with her attitude when she came to town. Thankfully May and Denise were able to really guide her and give her some good advice. While she's not perfect at the end, she has certainly become much more likable.

Overall, this is one of the best books of the series. I really liked both characters, and even though Clay did the typical guy move that all of the guys of this series pull, it still wasn't the worst of the bunch.
