This is quite a story, albeit a very disturbing one.

The story revolves around Jacob Barber, the 14-year-old son of assistant district attorney Andy Barber and his wife, Laurie. When a classmate of Jacob is found stabbed to death in a local park, all of the evidence suggests that Jacob may be the killer. But the case is weak at best.

Jacob's father never waivers in his belief in his son's innocence. However, his wife begins to have doubts.

As the story unfolds, we can see the family deteriorate, literally torn apart by Jacob's indictment and subsequent trial.

I guarantee that if you read this story, you will not soon forget it.
