Absolutely loved this book. I enjoyed Fall of Giants so much, I just wasn't sure the follow-up could live up to my hopes. A sweeping, epic fictionalized account of the first half of the 20th century, it was every bit as engrossing as the first book in the trilogy. It's amazing to me how Mr. Follett masterfully connects the characters and weaves their individual paths in life into the historical account of the events leading up to and immediately following WWII. This is the kind of book that should be required reading in every high school and college. Waiting on pins and needles for Edge of Eternity.
