I have to say that I absolutely loved this book! It was predictable and kind of corny, but it kept me turning pages. Honestly I thought it was a YA book, and I would like for my teenage daughter to read it. Having lived in the South all of my life I've grown accustomed to everyone portraying us as a bunch of backwoods racists. But this book reminded me that there are good people everywhere and I've know quite a few just like those of both colors in this book. We (as a country) have come a long way and real people like the fictitious ones in this book deserve the credit. I don't like to pass out 5 stars, but this one is close. A nice feel good story!
