Got this book in ARC form at the ABA Book Expo - They were hawking it as the next greatest book since the Happy Potter series... Since I'm a big fan of young adult fiction, it was the first book off the pile once I got home.

What a disappointment! Trite, cliche driven and barely readable, I couldn't believe the number of sales this book brought in once it hit the stands. Apparently Stephanie Meyer hit upon a zeitgeist of some kind, that sent the sales of this pathetic book through the roof.

If it wasn't for the fact that I really am grateful for ANY book that gets teens to read - I'd have to say I wish this book had never been written.

Stephen King put it best, when asked about how Twilight was giving Harry Potter a run for his money. He said "Harry Potter is all about confronting fears , finding inner strength , and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend."
