This was a good solid mystery with an interesting main character. The writing was good, but didn't always pull me into the story. I really liked the premise--a secret society of girls at a small college may be behind a series of murders. The main character, a friend of the college president, is asked to look into it unofficially. Turns out the main character was also bullied by "mean girls" in boarding school, so she quickly becomes emotionally involved in the story. She also knew, slightly, one of the victims, and is also a disgraced reporter trying to get her life back together. All of that actually adds up to a little too much in terms of setting the stage, at least for me.

The plot unfolds at a good pace, the tension and danger rises, and the ending is satisfactory.
