I'm a little torn on this one. I really enjoyed the story about a Midwife in the 30s. She lives on a farm near a small town and after learning to be a midwife from her friend mrs Kelly, she now is a certified midwife for the area. I found the stories of the births enthralling, but I found the writing to be a bit lacking. There were a few phrases that were used, "pissed off," "knocked up" that seemed a bit out of character, and at parts of the story I expected a flashback or story about her past, but there wouldn't be one. I eventually got used to it, but found it a bit confusing in the beginning. I wanted there to be a little more organization to the story, but I liked the story.
