Did not like it as well as the first book. Going back in time to tell a second tale involving many of the same characters is exceptionally difficult. My problem is I identified very well with the first book and found my prodigious to carry over.

I felt that the cover was a crime of misleading by the publisher, most definitely not Rose Red. The ending seemed to lack a concrete climax. It makes it hard to pick up the third book in the series.
