it was amazing
bookshelves: vegetables

Children as young as 2 can enjoy this book because of the vibrant colors and short sentences. It is such a great way to encourage children that vegetables are so versatile. They can be eaten in different ways and with different foods. Its also a great way to talk about the ways we grow vegetables and plants. Nutrition is a great lesson to take out of this book.

Activity extension:A great hands on activity would be to cut up some vegetables to make a vegetable salad. Children are more interested in eating vegetable when they have been involved with them in any way. The vegetable should be pre-cutted a little bit to make it easier for the children to cut them with butter knives.
