Powerful and tight writing, whisks you along (though the galley itself was very poorly edited with missing words galore). Revisits similar themes of innocence lost as The End of Everything. Abbott is so talented at creating a noir-ish, dark, hazy ambiance in her novels, even though they're contemporary set.
