Read from June 15 to 16, 2009 — I own a copy

Though not an official sequel, Snyder’s fourth novel pretty much picks up right where Fire Study left off. This first novel in the Glass trilogy focuses on Opal (although Yelena does make a cameo appearance!) the focal point of the book is truly just Opal. At first, my disappointment over missing Yelena slowed the pacing down, but I quickly discovered that Opal’s adventures are just as exciting! I really enjoyed this book! There was something oddly familiar about it, and while it was maybe not as fresh as Poison Study, it was still a lot of fun. Really, my only complaint is that I have to wait until September for the next part of the story! Snyder has a real gift for fun, fast fantasy reads.
