On a recommendation I picked up this book and I just couldn't get inti it. I had read most of her memoir abiut her mentally disabled sister but got tired of her incessant whine about her busy life. In this story I found myself bored with the very detailed narration. Novdls with heavy narration that is not particularly well-written is difficult to stay with. So,unfortunately I had to put it down though I undertstand the appeal (maybe like my thoughts on books like The Memory Keeper's Daughter) but will do two things: ask the person who recommended it to me whag she liked about it and identify something that I can use to recommend it to others.
