I LOVED this book. I have always been interested in the Salem Witch Trials and this dreadful time of our history, but this fascination was actually not the reason why I loved the book. This story was beautifully and uniquely written. I'm so glad the author chose the first person storyteller because my favorite part of this novel was the way the author developed her characters. It was so purposeful and moving to grow and mature with Sarah through her life experiences and to read how she learned to appreciate and love her parents and siblings. This unique character development was impressive and well done. By the end of the book. I loved the characters like they are my own family. This story of family love intertwined with the ugly history is heartwarming and relatable. Brilliant!
