This book would make an excellent action movie. It grabs you, kidnaps you and doesn't let you go until the last page. Set in the distant it future, you get to see the open salvo of a war between vampires and vaempires (mutated vampires). The poor humans seem to be caught up in everything. I found the concept very intriguing and loved the characters. You know I love a strong female and Cassandra doesn't fail me there. She's not Peach or Toadstool.

There were a few issues I had with the story. First, as I said there was a lot of action in this. I would have liked the pace to slow down a little bit so I could get more story. Also, I felt that Daniel won to easily in many of the fights in the book.

But, overall this is another great vampire read that you should add to your shelf.
