The Great Gatsby was about a guy named... Gatsby. The story about his mixed up life, and how he tries to win back the love of his life after she had left him. The time period was set to the early 20th century, right after WWI. Mr. Fitzgerald tells Gatsby's tale through the use of colors and paradoxes. Gatsby had changed who he was, sacrificing his old life for a life full of lies just to make sure that he could win back the love of his old girlfriend, Daisy. Nick Carraway, the main character in the book, reflects on Gatsby's life, both liking an disliking it. I would recommend this to anybody who enjoys reading a book based on using literary devices to understand the book even more.
