Students will understand the life cycle of a frog as this book is read aloud. Teachers can use this book in the Explain part of a Five E lesson plan to provide formal vocabulary for the stages of a the life cycle. Students would be able to make real observations for their frog's life cycle chart if the teacher created stations of the different stages using real frog eggs, tadpoles, young adult, and adult frog representations. This would be appropriate for students in second grade.
