A better book than I was anticipating. I was never really a fan of the TV show Sex in the City, but I did enjoy the movies. I liked that while reading this, Carrie Bradshaw's voice reads exactly as her character sounds in the movies. There were a lot of things I enjoyed or could relate to like her desire to be a writer and the bull crap you deal with in high school. I also like that it took place in the late 80's. As a child of the 80's myself it was fun knowing all the references that kids of this generation might not have picked up on. I didn't expect this, but I'm actually looking forward to reading the next book and checking out the show slated to air this fall on the CW!
