Lots of hype, I was intrigued to read this after hearing Mindi's review. I concur with Anna-I've read hotter, LOL! Something with more of a realistic thread would make it a page-turner for me. This was really beating a dead horse with no real surprise. The intimate scenes were wild, and I must say, I will continue with the trilogy in order to get a handle on Mr. Christian Grey and what makes him tick.

The BDSM world will always amaze me from afar. There is pain, and there is PAIN...I knew a person in the lifestyle, and (tho it may sound judgmental, I don't wish it to be) he was "off" somehow...I only felt sorrow.

It takes all kinds of people, and all kinds of relationships to make this world go 'round...

Fifty Shades Darker started, I'll let you know if i can figure any of this out...wink!

Bonny Love your review, Donna! I've been watching this book series hype from afar, intensely curious about why it is so compelling to so many. I really don't have any desire to read it myself, but am fascinated by how many people whose literary opinions I value have proclaimed it the greatest thing since sliced bread. I've imagined it as Twilight with whips and chains, and none of those are worth my valuable reading time. Can't wait to hear if you figure any of this out!
