Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James ~ So I actually liked this more than I had expected. There were a few things that got on my nerves in the author's writing, in which she was very repetitive with so much. I mean how many times did she have to let us know how good looking Christian Grey is??? He's hot..he's near darn perfect, he is so good looking! Women just can't help but stare at him. All right all ready....we GOT IT.... And Anastasia loves the way he wears his flannel pants down on his hips. If I heard it once I heard it a thousand times. Seriously, E.L. has made this guy sooooo perfect, that I can't even imagine WHO they would consider for the part when they make it a movie. And if they pick Robert Pattinson I WILL NOT watch it! I know I am in the minority, but I DO NOT find him attractive in the least.

I heard from several people before I started Fifty Shades that there was way too much S&M or whatever...and really, there wasn't. Now, there was definitely a TOOONNNNN of sex (and very descriptive, I may add)! But there was one, maybe 2 scenes that involved toys and such.... but if you are not into over indulgent, steamy and descriptive love/sex scenes....this is NOT your book! Don't even consider it.

I did like the story line. However, I did find it common....it's been done before, but that's OK. It still kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen to this odd couple. Whereas, I didn't think I would like Christian AT ALL, I ended up really softening up to him and his "domineering ways." I can see why Ana is drawn to him. This man has a past, and she is bound (no pun intended) and determined to get to the bottom of it. He is definitely a bossy SOB...but for the most part he had his reasons and they were mostly because he truly cares about Anastasia.

Would I ever date him or sign his little contract....Hell no! But was it just a little fun to be a voyeur into the world of Christian Grey and the, ever so innocent, Anastasia Steel.... Hell yes!!

And dang it, if Ms. James didn't leave a cliff hanger at the end. If you plan on giving this a go, make sure you have the second one handy, Fifty Shades Darker. It actually wasn't even a cliff hanger. It was more like the end of a chapter. Unfortunately, I didn't have part 2 yet, so I had to wait to see what was going to happen!!

Definitely a guilty pleasure read. But not so guilty that I haven't already bought Part 2 and 3!!!

Laters, baby!
