super funny, super smart, super interesting, esp. if you're a smith fan, which i have been since clerks came out when i actually *was* a clerk at a 7-11 way back in the day . . in between laughing, i was mainly just jealous about how talented smith gets to be--such a good writer, and funny, and prolific . . of course, he'd say he's nothing special, just lucky, tried, believed in his dreams, etc., which is part of the "point" of the book . . but even though he'd say he worked to be batman and so can anyone, to some degree, some are superman and some are not . . and to some degree, he is . . not a perfect book, by any means . . but i whipped through it in a day and a half . . it just read so easily and enjoyably . . there were a few laugh out loud paragraphs that represent some of the straight up *best* writing i've seen in a while . . and a few places where i was legitimately inspired by the "try it, why not" urging of the chapters . . anyway: well done, sir

Caro Hi Matt! Have you read anything by Chris Moore? I have never read Smith but will give him a shot, your review reminds me of Chris Moore, thanks!
