Inspirational story about one person who is truly making a difference in the world; Greg Mortenson is fighting the war on terror by building schools. He believes that the best way to promote peace is by targeting ignorance and disenfranchisement through education and understanding.
The message is important and the description of life in rural Pakistan and Afghanistan is very interesting - BUT I didn't LOVE the writing style. I would have preferred a memoir in the first person instead of a journalist account written in third person
