In My Mind's Eye

This memoir reminded me of the style of writer Wade Rouse who I enjoy immensely. Justin does a great job of revealing all the nuances of his dysfunctional family. I'm amazed that the events he described were occurring in New England in such recent years. I could have convinced myself that he was writing about the 60's or 70's. And he made my childhood look like a fairy tale. I was laughing at times that I know I should have been crying, for what he went through.
I hope to see more by Justin Marciano, maybe some stories about his experience as a parent-I think he'd have quite a challenge with his history. He has a great sense of humor in his story telling. Quite a pleasant surprise and it was so good that I found myself reading passages to my husband.
