it was amazing

I really enjoyed this second look into the lives of members of Jeannette Walls' family. I had been really moved by her memoir, The Glass Castle, and this book gives a glimpse into the life of the woman who would become the infamous unfit mother in that book. The descriptions of the settings and the characterizations worked together to make the life of Lily Casey Smith seem very real and immediate. I would highly recommend it.
