This was not an all time great mystery for me, although I was wrong in picking the killer. I found a lot of the time spent at the club to be more dull and annoying than anything else, yet I find myself wanting to look up the next Dalzeil and Pascoe book. (This was the first one, and I read it in memory of Reginald Hill, because I did like some of his other series.) Hence the three stars. It was worth reading.
