Read from April 21 to 26, 2012

This book is a creatively told love story about two illusionists. It reminded me a bit of the movie "The Prestige" but the love story adds another layer to the story and the setting for it goes beyond simple magic and illusions. The author has created a wonderful atmosphere in the circus with some dark and creative elements always surrounded by mystery. Although the book is written in the present tense, the story takes place in the past and this was a little bit of a disconnect for me at first. However, once I got used to the writing style I enjoyed the book and characters.

Amy Neftzger So far the plot is interesting, but I'm having a little trouble getting past the fact that the book is written in the present tense - more like a movie script, rather than a story.
