Solid 3 out of 5 for this book. It's an odd but interesting view of Superman & Batman (who apparently both start their careers in the mid 50s. I'm guessing Mr Anderson is going for a Silver Age start date for the characters, which is kind of hard to do since there never was an "official" Silver Age start date for the characters. They, and Wonder Woman, were published non stop from the introduction to the present day. Minus publicity stunts of the 90s and since then, natch) The book has a good Silver Age comic book feel to it, until later in the book when we get some "non comic book" language and actual death. (quick note: Silver Age was when super hero comics were relaunched in the 1950s after their publication mostly ceased in the mid 40s. Just wanted to clear that up for anyone who may read this and not be familiar with those terms) It's a fun read, just nothing that screamed "This is great" to me. It's worth picking up in paperback, in my not so humble opinion.
