Thanks to Goodreads for the free copy of this book. I love this author. The book was excellent too. The beginning is a little heavy, but once you have an understanding of the characters and their life circumstances, you know why they are the way they are and why they make the choices they make. I love stories about sisters and the bond that they share. How that bond can be tested and sometimes broken only to be made whole again. I also enjoy Christian fiction. I think we tend to put our religious leaders on pedestals and forget that they are human. We all struggle with our faith at some point in our lives. Most of us do it privately, but many times our spiritual leaders do it publicly. We don't always give them the foregiveness and grace that they have extended to us. Reading about the sisters' struggles with their faith was reassuring and comforting with how they chose to deal with it. I know that I am not alone. When we question and seek answers, we grow. I'm thankful that the author wrote this book examining the faith struggles without turning others off by being too "churchy". This is a wonderful book and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
