Every time I read one of these books, I get about a third of the way through and think, "Am I EVER going to get through this book?" The slow, languid pace makes me think nothing is happening. Then, the pace picks up, all the loose ends are tied up and I wish there was more to read.

This book is no exception. It's a wonderful story about people who cherish the good in others, are fiercely loyal to good people, and happy to bring a Botswana sense of justice to those who do wrong.

If you haven't read any of these books, start with The Number One Ladies Detective Agency and read on. The characters grow in age and wisdom, and you feel privileged to be part of their lives.
