2.5 stars. Okay so here's the deal with this, It was just a little too immature for my taste. It read like they were all in high school and not college. The beginning was okay, it had me wanting to see Travis and Pidge finally hooking up, but by the middle I started to lose interest since they were already in love with each other anyways. I guess I could see why so many people love this book since it was a unique read with the unstable Travis making things interesting with his wild self, but I'm still a little surprised that it's a book many say you should read before you die. I don't think it was that great... Just different. I would have like to see the reason Travis fell in love with Pidge, but I was left scratching my head since it was instantaneous. He went from being the baddest boy in all of creation to being completely smitten for no reason that I could see. The writing should have also been top notch for such a popular book, but it wasn't. Then again, Iv'e come to realize that not everyone can pull off first person POV when it comes to contemporary. So, overall this wasn't dreadful, just not as great as everyone makes it out to be. Maybe this is just another one where the hype made my expectations too high.
