"This is an absolutely extraordinary book. Never have I read a book in which the spiritual beauty of the author so resonated throughout the story. The purity of heart that manifests itself in this inspiring (true) saga of a heroic, Dutch family in Nazi occupied Holland during World War II is stunningly beautiful." This was taken from a review on Amazon, but I couldn't say it better. This is one of my absolute favorite books. It teaches absolutely profound lessons on forgivness and the power faith, and belief in God. As I have tried to understand the profoundness, power and depth of the Atonment, this book has given me many insights.
"No pit is so deep that He is not deeper still" as Corrie ten Boom believes despite all the horrors that she has endured. It makes me ask, could I find the forgiveness necessary to shake the hand of someone responsible for these horrors as Corrie did?
