Knowing that I LOVED,LOVED,LOVED, the first book...I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the way this second book turned out. Just within the first 10 pages--I was confused and a bit bored with the subject matter. There were too many things going on at once, and it was hard to keep up with who was who. Although there were some funny lines in this book, it was nowhere near as funny as the first book, which I laughed out loud several times. The first book was just fun and easy to read, and this second installment was not. I would have rather had the author focus more on Carrie's writing career than the pointless love affairs everyone was having throughout the story. But I have to say that I loved Miranda's teenage persona--she said a lot of meaningful things that was true to form about love and relationships. Unfortunately, I will not be reading the third installment.
