So far, Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez is an action packed personal narrative about the struggles of Julio, or China. He attends Hunter College and lives in an apartment with his pregnant wife, Blanca.

I like how Ernesto starts off the book with the importance of being tough and making a name for yourself. I found it very easy to relate to this book. I also like the inclusion of Spanish language. It gives the book a little excitement. Last but not least I love how him and Blanca always argue. They remind me of Martin and Gina from "Martin" the T.V. show.

One thing I don't like is the flow of the book. It isn't very clear to me about what is going at times.

My favorite quote is "When we did meet on the street it was like we were long-lost brothers who hadn’t seen each other in years."(12)I like this quote because whenever I see a friend of mine on the street I literally act as if we haven't seen each other in years.
