it was amazing
bookshelves: fantasy, dystopian
Read from April 19 to 25, 2012 — I own a copy

Five stars, because frankly that is the amount that I enjoyed it. The way it's written, the witty descriptions, a main character with actual FAULTS thank God. He's not perfect~ he's real and awkward and funny and you love him.

Usually when someone creates a fantasy world, it is a desirable one~ one that the reader wishes were real and part of life. However, Gaiman's world is not so desirable a place to visit~ it's dirty, gruesome, violent....and yet that makes it desirable~ I somehow want to know more about it...

The ending really makes you wonder if it really is all going on in his head, which I love~ it leaves you pondering.

"The boy had a towering arrogance only seen in the greatest of artists and all nine-year-old boys." <-- SEE!? You-just-y'gotta-just go READ IT!!
