bookshelves: patience, practice

Review: This story teaches a lesson about not giving up on something you want to learn to do. If you give up, it will never be accomplished. The pictures in this story are vibrant and really tell the story. Children in this book can relate to Willie because everyone has to practice whistling, it just does not happen overnight.

Learning Experience: After reading this book and talking about whistling, the children should practice and learn how to whistle. They should practice each day and even at home with their parents. After a few weeks see if everyone can whistle!
