This book was very funny. I know on some days I feel exactly like the boy in the book. Like nothing is going your way and everything is horrible. It was cute because you saw what an awful day was like in the point of view of a child. This is about a young boy, Alexander, who wakes up and instantly starts having a bad day. He doesn’t get a toy in his cereal box when both of his brothers do, he doesn’t get a seat by the window in the carpool on the way to school. At school the teacher likes someone else’s drawing better than his, and his best friend bumped him down to being his third best friend. When he got picked dup from school his brother pushed him in the mud and called him a cry baby, but his mother didn’t see this so she just scolded him for being muddy and crying. He had lima beans for dinner, the bath was too hot, his marble fell down the drain, his night light burnt out, and his cat didn’t want to sleep with him that night. But, his mother told him that every now and then he was going to have a bad day, regardless of where he was.
