Miss Nelson is Missing is about Miss Nelson and the students in room 207. The students take advantage of Miss Nelson so she decided to go missing for a few days and bring in Miss Viola Swamp. Miss Swamp is the complete oposite of Miss Nelson, Miss Swamp is mean and cruel. The students start to miss Miss Nelson and go on the search for her. They never find her but eventually she shows back up in the classroom one day. After having Miss Swamp for a while the children respected Miss Nelson and never acted up again.

The story is very well written and use very good descripted pictures to follow the words. The characters resemble real life people because students will act up for sweet teachers and do what they are told to when they have a really mean teacher. The events are plausible for little children but older children may find it harder to believe.

I feel that this is a good book to read to a class to show how if they are mean to their teacher, that they could always have worse teachers.
