I know most people gave this book a four or five, but I was very sad after reading this. Such poverty and despair and people surviving, just barely...depressed me. Maybe if it gives some one the thought to make a difference to change this situation, then this is a great book. At the end all I could think is how lucky I am to live in New Jersey, turnpike jokes and all. The thought of standing in line to collect drops of water in a bucket for my family and picking up singe grains of rice to cook for dinner and bathing in poluted water. I see why people ate poison and poured kerosene over their heads. How can a country be so rich and so poor? I love being an Amercia every minute of every day.
