While this was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, Cass's rapid maturation, growth and the rapidity of the conclusion were a little jarring given the timespan the series takes place in. Maybe if I hadn't read all 3 books in a few days then it wouldn't've seemed so abrupt, but as it is it seems like the main character would outpace the maturity or lifestyle of readers 'her age'. I did find the whole story sort of.. comforting and satisfying with an appropriate number of twists and turns. Definitely not a 'predictable' ending to the story, though I'm finding Gratuitous Epilogue
a very nice, settled counterpoint to finish on, rather than the quick finale to the main conflict in Caszandra.
