What a gem! I had never even heard of the title until recently and am so very glad that I read it. This is a charming, funny and romantic tale of a family in 1930s England who have fallen into genteel poverty. They are living in the English countryside in a castle while trying to put their finances back in order. Full of English eccentrics and wonderful comparisions between Americans and English, this is a great read and real treat!
