I loved this book...the author manages to convey the importance of eating well (that is, real food, eaten mindfully) without being condescending or bossy. She acknowledges her own challenges with new foods, cooking, and the "French" philosophy, but her eventual acceptance and enthusiasm is inspiring. The points about American snack habits were mind-blowing...They snack 5-6 times a day? No wonder we have an obesity problem. While I don't have children of my own yet, this is going in the arsenal for future child-rearing reference.
