it was amazing
Read from May 23 to 30, 2012 — I own a copy

The second of Lawrence Anthony's books that I have read - a wonderful story told by a larger-than-life man who died on 2 March 2012 shortly before the book was released.

His efforts to save the last Northern White Rhino takes him on a fascinating journey into deepest darkest Africa where he gets involved in the politics in the area. Knowing the Ambassador of the DRC Bene M'Poko and having dealt many times with him and his embassy and government, gave me a little more understanding of the frustrations Lawrence Anthony had to deal with.

A must read for anyone interested in African conservation.
