bookshelves: adventure, adversity, choices, crime, fiction, mystery, torture, thriller, young_adult
Read in December, 2010

First of a fast-moving trilogy with alternate chapters beginning in the present (locked in a torture cell) and going to the past (one year before - a year Charlie didn't know he had lost). It's exciting to see the main character go through the doubts of a person who can't remember the last year - wondering how and why he got into the situation he's now in. A great read - look forward to the next two.
