A mediocre and predictable book. I also think there are too many descriptions of what the main character thought/how she felt on almost every page of the book, considering that all her thought/emotions were rather repetetive: she either felt morose (author's favourote word), felt a growing sense of unease or felt churned up (another favourite of the author).
The way the main characters talked seemed rather unnatural - they continuously apologized to each other and "filled in" one another rather thank talk like normal people.
I did finish this book as I was mildly curious to see how the Fortuna society is tied to The Sixes, but this will be the last Kate White's book for me.
