This instantly become one of my favorite books that I have ever read. Most likely the first book that made me cry, cry of happiness and sadness. I could sit for endless hours reading this book. It's so much more then just a angst romance book. None of the characters were perfect (Loring was kind of perfect though) like some other books, these characters were genuine and easy to picture and relate too as a person... characters that had real problems and had to somewhat struggle with money and with there relationships (and each relationship talked about though out the book had its problems good and bad or really bad.). You were able to see the bad side of relationships and that its a struggle and not a fantasy world when you are in love... that relationships are stressful, fun, sad, happy and all of the other emotions.
Eliza made a decision that she thought was for the better but ended up not working out.. but she did it for the right reasons. She did not want Paul just to stay with her for she cannot share him; she wanted him to live her dreams even if that meant breaking up with him. Its hard to find that today were someone is that selfless that she can give up something she loves for someone can do something they love.
