I read the book Homeboyz by Alan Lawrence Sitomer I like this book because it has a interesting begining when Meeksha has to do a lot of things to get the the gang Merks 4 life. This book made me feel sad because Meeksha had a bad past because her mom was a drug addict and she never met her father which was sad because nobody was their for her to teach her the right path. She sucked at school the only thing she was good at was causing trobble and just before you knew it she was getting crazier she started sniffing glue and getting tattos. She said that this is what she always dreamed of since she was six years old. It was sad that she said that her friends in the gang were her family. I would recommend this book because its about a teenager who has a rough hood and parents that don't care about her. Also people can see what do gangs do to you and how it affects others that's why you have to think twice before doing something you are going to regret.
