I really liked this book. The different characters and the unique Pyte Vampire (HOT!!) made this an interesting read. Vampires were created by Satan so God create Sentinals to counteract, I'm not really sure how the Pyte vampires fit in but they are few a far between and can choose to work with the Sentinals if they want. There really wasn't much on all that since it was mostly about Madison and Ephraim. Madison has pretty much had to take care of her younger sister (15) and brother (10) since their mom doesn't want to be a mom, just wants to be arm candy and find a sugar daddy which really makes your heart go out to the family (except mom of course). They end up at their Grandmother's boarding house where Madison meets Ephraim, a policeman, who lives at the boarding house. Ephraim at first tries to stay away from Madison since her blood seems to scream at him and send him into instant bloodlust. You'll have to read the rest to find out what happens and it is worth it. :D
