Written by a young British, female journalist who first went to Afghanistan during the period when the fight was against the Russians and then returned after the fall of the Taliban. The book is a bit hard to follow at times but well worth reading for a very different perspective on Afghanistan. The people she mets clearly believe the Taliban are mostly Pakistani's and Arabs. The compelete devisation of the country and the horror of the Taliban regime particularly for women come through clearly. This woman really is fearless!
