I'm a huge fan of Frost's writing, though I just didn't connect with this one as much. Two girls meet again 7 or 8 years after their traumatic first meeting--which was when Darra's dad accidentally kidnapped Wren while he was committing a crime. Darra helped Wren survive in the garage, but when Wren escaped and was rescued, Darra's dad was found and sent to prison. Now they meet again at an expensive summer camp, where Darra is out of place but was bequeathed a 4-week stay by a dying relative. Over the four weeks they come to terms with what happened, and Darra makes a few true friends.

I can't put my finger on what made it harder for me to immerse myself in. I'm going to think about it for a few days and maybe I'll be able to put my finger on it.
