it was ok
bookshelves: mystery

A bit formulaic, even for a small-town series mystery. Luckily it's been years since I read the earlier books, so I couldn't remember exactly which characters were regulars and which we're potential suspects and victims. The book was mindless fun, but the mystery wasn't resolved all that clearly, and the last chapter just seemed like a Q&A voiced by the characters to ask and answer all of the questions the reader would have still had. Not all the explanations seemed well thought-out.

And I felt like Harry seemed a bit sillier and shallower than I remember. Maybe I've just forgotten? Or maybe it's this particular book?
